More high-rises coming to area

Zoning change to allow buildings up to 250 feet tall

A zoning change in El Lago could significantly alter the way a stretch of NASA Parkway is developed. After more than a year of studying options and holding public hearings debating high-rise development, El Lago's city council voted last month in favor of a zoning change that now allows builders to put up 40 units per acre and 250-foot-tall buildings. That's about 20 stories.
